Well my new hobby is fixing up and selling houses. Fun yes but I like making frames and snagging free food off the banquet table better. Dawned on me the other day that I will NOT be shooting three graduations a day for the next three weekends. Gotta say I sort of miss the responsibility of shooting the bright shiny faces stepping into their futures but I gotta say I am thrilled to be able to sit and watch my own twin daughters and all their friends graduate. Wow, where did the time go?
The last graduation I sat for was my own in 1977. I have five siblings with eight kids and have never attended one of their graduations due to having to cover local high schools with the HeraId. I can't even estimate how many thousands of graduation photos I've shot over the years. So this will be a bit weird since I don't do too well sitting still. My wife blames my snow brain and I'm sure she's not wrong.
Speaking of which, my chance to hike and ski some of the areas I normally do in spring is getting slim. When I grow up I wanna be a ski bum. But in the mean time I'll be boxing up my stuff in between shoots as we move the quarter mile to our new home.
